Inheriting tradition, creating an era, nurturing knowledge. Waseda University was founded in 1882 in the heart of Tokyo. Waseda University, one of the top universities in Japan, keeps tradition alive, while birthing forth new ideas and cultural thought. On the 125th anniversary of its founding in 2007, Waseda University proclaimed the "Waseda University's Second Century Declaration" and recommitted itself to creating a world-class institution with a Global Campus.
